Yes, the eyes reflects a deep feeling, the character is from a film whose name is the same title "The shape of water"... The story of the character is that he is captured against his will in the Amazon Forest, because a company dried up the river where he lived to set up an industry, They bring him as a slave even though in the Amazon they venerated him as a god, is imprisoned to experiment scientifically with him, the film has a nice ending.
