Kala Ghoda art festival 2018 part-2
Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the platform. I'm sorry for posting this article after few days, I was caught in other stuff but nevermind long story short. So today I'm going to show you some more pictures and views about the festival.
By now you have seen the previous post, if not just click here
So before sharing my thoughts I would like to share that I was only able to attend the festival for 2 days only, but I'll share the timetable with you so if you like the festival you can always visit here
Timetable
So the event started from 4th Feb and ended on 11th Feb. I was able to attend on 7th Feb and 11th Feb. Have a look at the timetable.
Theme
This years theme was "Go Green" which practically means taking environmentally friendly & ecological decisions which will help the environment for current and future days. This art maker is trying to convey the same message, it shows us to recycle and reuse materials which are environment-friendly. Cotton is filled in these small bottles.
Bangles
The artist here is trying to show us 'bangles' which Indian women wear in their hands. Bangles signify as a gift of love to the women, when a girl gets married as she enters a new phase in her life, her mother in law gifts her 'bangles' this might be made of gold or just as simple as glass bangle. Here these bangles are kept in an illusive V shape and all these bangles are used by rural women. Artist says that when you look at it from a particular angle you'll get to see a women'ss face which basically describes her theme i.e Rawness is richness.
Faces of nature
Every human being on this planet has thousands of faces which they hide behind their original face. The classic series "Game of Thrones" also gives us an insight into human nature. The important question is which face do you show to our mother earth? The artist here is trying to convey a simple message
Nature has many forms, many face & many eyes that look towards us, human beings. They have always been looking at our actions & what have we been doing to them. The time is nowhere to take a pause, look closely and reflect our actions, think about the harm we have been doing to them. Let us all fall out of this cluster of chaos and bloom into a better person that we were born to protect, nurture & love nature. Go green, go human being.

Shops
In the whole 10 day festival, about 5000 local shops were set up, which gives us many things to buy. Among which my favourite was "Beard Baba" Babaa means a saint). I loved this shop basically because they provide products which enhance the growth of your facial hair, you'll eventually understand which I said this at the end of this post. Products such as
- Beard growth oil
- Hair and beard wash
-Charcoal face wash - Beard and hair wax gel
- GroomingKKit
- Hair serum
- Pocket perfume
This product hardly cost 300₹ (5$) also as you see in the picture you can also buy Tees a the same price.
If you look left in here, you'll notice there's a shop name 'kainaat' which means 'The creation'. He sells pop colored clothing in cool fabrics, & glass plates for a price of 600-1000₹ (16$).
I love this picture
I have more pictures to show & lot of work to do so I'm ending this here. Stay connected for part 3
