NOTICES FOR NAMES. artisan work.
Hi Steemians!
today I want to share an other line of work I have been doing over the years.
I started this back in 2006 when one of my best friends was expecting her first child and I wanted to make a present for her daughter when she was born. I decided to make a personalised name notice on an irregular piece of wood that would be sanded around the edges.
My friend loved her gift and shortly after there was a few more friends having children so I decided to make one for each. All would be unique to each child.
The word got around and then I had people asking me to make more for gifts they had to make. So I started getting orders. I have lost count of how many I have done over the years and I only started taking photos of them a few years ago so many I can´t recall.
Here you can see a little variety of them.
I have sent them to many places in the world (England, Austria, India, USA, Argentina, Chile, France, Sweden, Germany, Italy)
I have a folder in my facebook account where I upload the images I do of these and you can see more there.

Such a beautiful and creative thing. I like your motifs very much and the names on them shine and have certainly given a lot of joy to those to whom you have given them. I am always happy when I see how artistic people are and what ideas there are in the world. Especially "Shanti", "Enzo" and in particular "Enara" appeal to me, there I find the motive extraordinarily successful and elegant. I like the choice of colours and the strong name as well as the downward swing of the bird wings very much. Which wood do you use and which colours?
Thank you Erika. I paint on plywood. A thin 5mm sheet of wood that is easy to cut and sand.

Thank you ! ...yes I do sell them. They measure approximately 10x15cm (some a bit more or less) and they cost 25€ each. (Sending fee not included)They have a double sided sticky tape behind.

wow that‘s lovely and beautiful. From the photos, all of the woods has its uniqueness. It is heavy? It also beautiful to hang it.

Thank you! They are very light, They are made of plywood and measure from about 10x15cm and have sticky tape behind to hang them up.
Wow... no wonder they all loves it. Average how long you able to complete one?
