🎬 "SteemEngine" - animation... slightly provocative
Steam engines have been fascinating me for as long as I remember. The simple concept and that sort of perpetual movement have something I could watch forever...
For today's animated gif I found a very old painting I did in the early 90s. The original is on glass, in graphite pencil, watercolor and acrylics. Unfortunately I don't have a good photo of it, so I tried to revive it by digitally enhancing it a bit.
After running it through the jpg glitch tool, I combined the original file and the glitched version in photoshop. There I masked some areas, basically leaving the figure, but keeping the surroundings even more uniform and flat.
With all the parts I wanted separated in layers in Photoshop, it was easy to import the file in Animate and add the movement.

Haha, I love that this had to be NSFW this fits with things I've been discussing with @katharsisdrill about NSFW. Now this is lovely exuberant art that shouldn't really be considered NFSW (I know you have to , to be safe) yet some magazines I see in shops that any child can see are more so than this could ever be.
What a funny and wonderful edit you have made to your work in this animation. You always get that 'cheek' and 'humour' I love in high art. Well done again, sir.
I've been a bit absent as I am now sat back at Toad Hall in USA as I had to return suddenly due to my Father's ill health. So, I have to try and get to a schedule again soon, we shall see, but am happy to have all of you 'online friends' to turn to, because in a pinch or sat in hospitals, it is nice to plug in and see what you are all up to. Funny ole' world.

Sorry to hear that about your father. Eventually we are all faced with that situation. My parents are still in good health and I hope they will be for a long time, but one never knows. Wish you strength and hope you can still find time to create your art. That in itself is often a big help to get through difficult times.
myself, I prefer to take the chance of getting flagged by a troll than being lumped in with pornography.
However, I did tag one of my works once as nsfw - HERMAPHRODITE last year.
Fantastic artwork and very good idea to refresh older artworks with animation.

You went through a lot of PS work, so made the best of it. I have a few works also without a good photo. One, after spending a lot of time on, I finally decided to "revive" it in a new version.
