Audrey Hepburn Fashion

Hi everyone, I'll be busy all day finishing 2 pieces of fan art , Ponyta and Doris Day. I hope you'll have a great Monday. I'm leaving you with one of my recent works that turned out to be one of my favorites. I love little black dresses 1950s style, it's a timeless piece and classy.

Hello my friend
Happy day .. Beautiful this drawing

Thank you dear @mars9, I hope your skies are trouble free.

This is nice.

Thank you @deveerei๐ŸŒผ

I think this is one of my favorites from your work, too.

@anca3drandom, I'm going to do a series. I love fashion, even though I am not very fashionable.

This little black dress also accentuates a woman's figure.
Unlike so much of the junk that is called fashion these days.

On the reflections in the balloons. Did you just copy the details from the original photo, or did you try to compute them?
With watercolors you have to plan where all your highlights are going to be, what was your thoughts on the order of painting those highlights?

I don't use a computer, I draw outlines for shadows and highlights, with watercolor one works from white paper as highlight and light colors are washes, to darker opaque colors for forms and shadows. This is how I taught myself, I'm self taught. I do use photos from online searches on my iPad.

I am a technical guy -> artist.
So, when I say computing highlights.... well, I guess I do mean like what you would do on a computer. Here's the window (light sources), balloons are shaped like this, compute reflections...
These are what go through my mind. I don't think they go through other artist's minds.

I have seen some water color artists add highlights by washing. Specifically soap and water and scrub an area. But, that is probably more in the mistake correcting arena, that you wouldn't do if you planned your hightlights out before the brush got to the paper.

And then there is always cheating. Using white paint. Which I find almost essential for things like the bright spot on the eye things.

This painting came out very nice. Have you thoughts on framing it?

I don't follow rules, I'll scrub, use wash or white gouache to get the effect I see in my minds eye. I cannot afford to frame my paintings. Steemit is going to help me!

keep it up mom!!

im back mom.,
check your chat mom!!!

Thank you @anejosua, keep up the great work supporting your Steemit community. I'm proud of my Son of another mother.

mom check chat mom @reddust

Dear Son from another mother, I'm sorry not to make it to chat the second time, my paintings are demanding I give birth to them now! I'll be offline until this evening. I hope you have a lovely day.๐ŸŒŸ

its okay, i still waiting for u mom!!๐ŸŒŸ

I think you are 11 hours ahead of my time right, I'm North American Central? I take a lunch break at 12pm. Would that be too late? I have a difficult time moving from my painting mind to communicating with words. I end up sounding mechanical and I'm not....no one here at home talks to me when I paint because I ignore them...๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

yup its okay mom, just when u free dont forget to check your chat

I promise๐Ÿ™

So beautiful and talented ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you kindly @fluer.

Yes, I should've provided a link, I was so excited during the process, painting people is still an adventure because most of my life, I would rather paint scenery, bugs, animals, birds or totally make up characters like dragons.

I love it!

Thank you @cerirod1218, I loved painting the balloons๐ŸŽˆ
