This week in cube paintings

It's that time again folks. Today we're exploring the world of transmissive materials, or things you can see through to some extent. There were talks of refraction, reflection and light scattering.

If you've ever heard the term artistic anatomy, referring to the study of anatomy, but with a focus only on what is important for the artist, there is also artistic physics, where you need to understand the physics of light, but only at a surface level as it pertains to painting and illustration.

This time around along with a few process gifs I also snapped some close ups at full res so you all can se what these look like up close. Actually still pretty loose.

Also here's some of the process, I didn't capture the others, because I either painted them on a single layer, or the process is too short to really be interesting.

I had the goal of being a dolphin by the end of the year, and earlier this year when Steem was trading for $4.50 I was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen, but now I'm sure it definitely will, Yaaay! I'm almost there! Of course, right now, I'm a minnow wearing a dolphin suit because I took advantage of that 50% off sale for delegations from Blocktrades right after HF20, but soon I'll be the real deal. Then I can stop paying attention to that, because being an Orca is a million miles away.
