It greets you when you wake up, motivates you for the day ahead over breakfast, and pushes you over the midday hump. But the question remains, what is passion? The most important thing to be passionate about is the thing you are the most, yourself. Before you can be passionate about anything else, you need to accept yourself, Not your faults or shortcomings, but what is closest to you. What no one can take away from you without your permission.

People picture passion as something easy, once you have it, everything will be simple, but even with all the passion and drive, it is still hard. The trick is though, to keep that passion, through think and thin, even when things are harder than they seem. But most importantly, not to give up.

On the other side of art is science. Though to some science seems boring, just a class they had to take, to those who have a passion for it, science could be a lot of fun. Seeing the progression of getting closer and closer to the answer, but not quite reaching it. A thirst for knowledge, a thirst for answers.

But sometimes what brings you the greatest joy and passion are the simple things in life. Something that most take for granted, but you find something in. Maybe what you found was mindless fun, or fulfilling pleasure, but whatever it is, it's yours. Remember, nothing is too simple to enjoy.

Even if your passion isn't something productive or not materialistic, you can still enjoy it. Maybe what you enjoy are video games, what some people view as the epitome of the decreasing of society. But like everything in the right amounts, you can enjoy it and be passionate of it, and no one can take it away from you but yourself.
