Inktober Day 30 "jolt"steemCreated with Sketch.

in #art5 years ago

Greetings steemians :)
My workflow has significantly slowed down, but October inking marathon was really too much for me in my current situation. Had to catch my breath, I hope you don't mind ;)

Word for day 30 was:

Jolt

" Just a typical weekend morning in our home"

This one took really long to complete, especially considering that almost all my other inktober were done in a single seating. this time started with a pencil underline

next day took out my pentel brushpen. this steps took about two evenings

then used sakura micron 03 for hatching/crosshatching and voila

some details

aaand done, hope you like it.

alright time to get to work on my last inktober which I've decided I will be drawing on A3 sized paper ( which for people from the inches realm is like 11.7 x 16.5). Wish me luck...

I love this one so much, @longer :D The composition is very effective, with the monster displayed front and center (with another figure indicated besides him).... I assume this was your kids waking you and your wife up BEFORE you had wanted to wake up??? XD

Amazing drawing. I love it <3

So funny and so well made <3 <3 <3

Thank you @veryspider for all your kindness.\nYou guessed right, honestly I rarely want to wake up, I'd sleep all day of allowed to ;)\n\nI don't even know who should I thank for the curation, was that you? I'm being spoiled right now

Upvoted and followed! Looking forward to more.

Thank you, will try not to disappoint :)

I've always fallen to how lovable you draw your characters and scene. Almost everytime I look at your art, they give me this good feeling like when I'm reading a fun children adventure book. Very charming!

Congrats for your curie vote, longer :).

That's so great of you to write that, as it tells me that I managed to achieve my goal. Im Trying to get a job as an illustrator for some time now, so children's adventure books is where I'm aiming at :)\nAnd I'm really being spoiled with curations recently, it is spirit lifting :)

Following your inktober story has been awesome. I really do like this one, I feel I can still see joy in the art, despite all the scary faces and expression...there is still joy on their faces.
Nice Art as always!

For me personally interacting with children is always joy. Even when they wake me up ;) \nAppreciate your comments, cheers :)

It's pretty cool how you incorporate your family into these ink drawings, @longer. I really hope you're able to do something with them beyond just Inktober (though I'm not sure what that would be necessarily, since your family is involved). Just an amazing amount of talent on display each time.

What's funny about this particular scene is it reminds me of what my sisters and I would try to do to our Dad on Christmas morning. Only instead of a jolt, we'd threaten to pour cold water on him. :) Never happened, and we always had to wait until he got out of bed to open presents. I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose, so I had to try it out on my boys while they were growing up. Pretty fun, actually.

Congratulations on the curie. Very much deserved.

Thank you :) not many things I can think of that could give a man jolt like cold water on Christmas morning. Glad it all stopped at the threatening part, though I wouldn't take a risk knowing my sons ;)\nI do these illustrations as practice and some of them ended up in my portfolio, so there is some more use for them

Like your version of "Frankenstein", I believe that was may be an experiment the kids on your picture got from school for electricity. Your sketch is really full of details, every single corner has its own story, like all machinery and the kids running with excitement, as well as exhausted "Frankenstein" sorry for calling him like that but it is the first thought I had seeing your sketch :)

Glad you like. No need to apologise for mentioning the "Frankenstein" as it was clearly a source if inspiration for me. Though you make a mistake that most people do - Frankenstein was the name of scientist, it's monster was just 'frankenstein's monster ;)

Wow is a great piece full of many details, this incredible, I see that you just need a drawing and culminates .. !!

I also made the 31 drawings for Inktober, I learned many new things and growing as an artist is the most important thing of all.

I'm glad you did not stop making great pies throughout the month of October, I loved the physical features of the characters, you handle the inking very well :)

I hope to see your last drawing, A big hug @longer

Thank you:)\nCongrats on completing whole inktober, consistency is the key to greatness .

Oh wow, there is so much details in this piece @longer. It is really amazing! No wonder you took some time to work on it. If I had the talent to do this, I would have taken months! Love the looks on the cheeky boys' faces hehe. They must be having a swell time in there playing with their subject. I love how you put it as " Just a typical weekend morning in our home", my first thought was, could that be you in bed being jolted up by your boys? Thank you for sharing your artwork with us :)

My pleasure.\nYes I am that monstrosity every time they wake me up ;)
