The Key To Every Coffin (2018)
The Key To Every Coffin
2018
Pen on paper
Jaundré M. van Breda
This gel- and ballpoint pen drawing was inspired by the cult classic, The Crow.
Concerning horror in art (whether it's a film or a drawing) I believe that the less you see, the more frightening it is. I'm not talking about the detail itself though. To put it differently, seeing the monster is less scary than knowing about the monster. A good movie to use as an example is the first The Blair Witch Project.
P. S. Some of you may note the key has a small coffin-shaped engraving on it.

I love this, so much, Juandre ! Very beautiful and very gothic <3 The step by step is wonderfully done, too <3
Thanks, Lise. I'm grateful for your support.
Heey I love how sharp this drawing is, and that effect on the crow, it's awesome!

Thank you!
Interesting brush work here :D
I thought this was done through digital cause I've seen some custom brushes share the same patterns as your style.
Thank you. This is all done in pen. I prefer traditional art. For me, nothing beats getting your hands dirty.
