It's MISS Dr. Who to You!
Here she comes! It's...Dr. Who!?
I started this week with zero understanding of the cult classic television series, Dr. Who.
Then everyone was asking me what the inside of my Tardis looked like and needless to say I was taken aback. Um...
Fortunately, several fellow Steemians came to my rescue and filled me in on a few important facts about the series. Here is what I have gathered:
- The show originally aired in the 1960s
- There have been many re-makes of the original.
- The classic reigns supreme
- The inside of the Tardis is much much bigger than it appears by the looks of the outside. (Whew!)
And then, during BBC News Hour on my local NPR station I learn that BBC has cast the First Female Dr. Who. Actor Jodie Whittaker will be playing the role of the 13th Dr. in this reincarnation of the classic. Fans have had mixed feelings about the decision to cast a woman for the role. In my opinion, of course Dr. Who can be played by a woman! But then again I know nothing about the show so....
In any case, bravo to BBC for this progressive step forward, and here is my entry to the Intermediate category for the Learn to Draw With Friends contest set up and hosted by the wonderful @tonyr.
Here's my finished drawing with the scariest item in my house, which just happened to be sitting on the coffee table while I drew.
How about a looksee at how I worked through this drawing? Remember I have no clue what I'm doing, so my steps are definitely all over the place...

A fantastic process post and synopsis of the cult classic that is Doctor Who @jaymorebeet and I think it is a fantastic progression to have a female Doctor in the next series.

Seriously haven't seen any episodes but all of you who seem to like it as a show are having me rethink my Dr. Who abstinence :)
I love it. Although it's been a while since we watched an episode. I liked the seasons with David Tennant and Matt Smith. You should give it a try ;)

I am truly amazed at how your art looks, considering you "have no clue what I'm doing". Very impressive. And love the tearing the page out to perfection comment...gave me a hearty laugh. Thanks for sharing more of your art and the process of getting there.
Yeah I think I should retire myself to buying only those perforated page notebooks and see how I fare. I think I could chew it out of the book more neatly. Thanks @ddschteinn :)
