RE: decentralized video hosting

in #art7 years ago

I yearn for the day of decentralized video. Projects like LBRY will someday be the protocol and storage of decentralized content owned in total by their creators. If you can imagine a world without YouTube but a world with Steemit + LBRY (other decentralized video hosting) ,Freedom takes its parabolic rise to the infinite. So in truth Craig is correct but your imagination can take his thesis so far beyond the Obvious! That's my 2 satoshis! Lol

I agree with you. Piss off the great google and you get banned for life. Oftentimes you don't even know you did anything wrong until the lifetime ban hammer comes down on you. And try and talk to the outsourced customer service and they are terrible

or secret admirer things right? lol

It will be a revolution in and of itself. And on an even larger scale, an entirely decentralized internet that this decentralized video hosting sits on. A MeshNet meets the blockchain meets Tor. Entirely encrypted, decentralized, and anonymous internet that cannot be censored by anyone, and definitely cannot be affected by any rollback of Net Neutrality. Indeed, attacks on Net Neutrality will only hasten its creation.

Lets call it something like Internet10.0 This will be one of the Holy Grails of technology of the next half century.
