Digital Artist Showcase Contest 1 - The Winners
The inaugural Digital Artist Showcase contest has now ended, thank you for the interest and the entries.
After consulting with my fellow minnow support project member @swelker101 we have reached the following decision:
The winning design for the header image is this one from @steemitadventure - we chose this because the center of the image will display the work of a featured digital artist of the week, as outlined below by @steemitadventure:
I like the idea of leaving room to showcase a snippet of the art you will be displaying, that way its not just the same old logo every post. It would be the logo + a piece of the art featured. I used some of my sketches as an example in these mockups. As someone who is a digital artist I thought your idea was good so wanted to try and help it out :) Overall I am generally a fan of "clean and simple" so its easy to read.
As it was a late entry they are open to tweaking the design and we have a few ideas to throw their way. Congratulations @steemitadventure, you win 10 SBD!
The next part of the contest called for 2 GIFs and, as we only received 2 entries in this category they both win 10 SBD

and this one from @emperiumfx. We particularly liked the use of the Steemit logo with schools of minnows swimming by and the big blue whale that we all aspire to become.

Congratulations! We really liked the idea to feature an artist every week in the center. Do you use Steemchat? Or maybe you would like to visit the minnow support project Discord chat where we can discuss a few little tweaks?
I often get on Steemit chat, maybe Tuesday or wednesday if you think that will work ? I am in there now but seems to be laggy.
