Inktober 2017 'Found'

It is difficult to illustrate something being found unless it is in the context of a story. It is exciting if you find treasure. Then there's that sense of relief you get when you find something precious that you thought you had lost.

I also wanted to create something that was pretty so I chose to draw a girl as she finds her pearl necklace and puts it on. The moon in the background just added an element of femininity and mystery. It also picked up on the appearance of the pearls. I'll have to return to this image and digitally colour it.
