Today I Lost Hours Of Art Material I Had By EdgarsArt
Sad and unlucky day for me today. Today I was feeling good, filming new how to draw material too and started new work. Started to draw a pug on video. As many of you dont know I am filming my videos with help of my phone. So after filming i went out and my phone crashed.
And in the result I had only one option to reset it. I tried other options and a friend of mine who knows more looked at it So I lost all the material I had there filmed, for more than an hour Everything was on my phone, because I am working 90 % with it.
All of my art images and previous video i filmed. I had more than a thousand images stored there.
Good that i found at least that my images were backstored at google. Could re-store them
I am thinking how to deal with it and how to come back from this blow. Sadly I can not film today anything, it is too dark and all i can do is to survive until tomorrow, to try to film some material back and to feel a bit better. Because until then I have nothing...
But not everything is bad, at least i want to think like that. I know i will come back and I will make three times more for what i lost. I know that
It is good that i managed to already re upload some video material to my pc before this, so I will have what to post to continue my dtube daily tutorials.
I choose this drawing of mine, because that is actually how i feel now. Like i have this unbreakable wall in front of me now, for no reason and I have to get though it, get out of this obstacle.

Damn that really sucks when that happens! I unfortunately know the feeling with "normal" pictures mostly.. And this reminds me once again that I should make back ups more often.. because my phone is flushed right now..
Hopefully you have most of them in the google storage, because an artist's work should not be lost :(

Oh that is not good at all. I'm really sorry that happened t you. I have done a similar (but more stupid) thing and lost yearrs of writing.
I would suggest, if you phone supports it, that you save everything to an SD card instead of the phone's memory. that way if it does again you can just pull the card out and you will still have all of your images and video.
And do the same with your PC. Store everything on removable drives.
I have pretty much nothing stored on my PC any more. So if we have another earthquake or a fire or whatever, I can pick up the drive and walk out and I have everything I need right with me.

Oh that is a great idea, I just ot long time ago bought this phone and it has a large storage, and ti does not support sd cards at all, new google pixel

Oh yes, i know, just human emotions and frustration kicks in and all the thoughts of oh i spent so much time etc etc. But i just gotta let it go

You may want to try a disk recovery.
And I would advise to replicate important stuff to G-Drive, Dropbox or the like.

If you had immediately switched off and given it to an expert, most of your data could have been recovered. When this happens, not many have the self-discipline to not try to recover data themselves, which is when the worst of the damage happens.
I've, over the last year, lost 3 TB of data because of electricity surges and being cut off suddenly (living in S Africa), but waiting to recover the data once the electricity problem is gone.
Yes, i guess i had to, but the thought of waiting the time and the fact that the phone is basically with what i can only film now, that would freeze the process for days for sure...

Yes, so it crashed completely, and the only way to get it running was to reset it completely and I had my data only there. Some material which i finished i transferred to pc, but today's hours worth of material no. That is what hurts the most, because i was feeling so good today and started such a detailed work
