Lion Eyes Dark Charcoal Drawing Part 8 By EdgarsArt

in #art7 years ago

Good couple of days passed and i am back on my current charcoal drawing in progress. I am at that point now where i actually want to finish this as soon as i can. There comes a time when you start feeling like it is enough for you to work on a particular piece. So you want to finish it up and move on to another project.

Still have to work on the othe side of the face. Have to draw those long strokes now, which is going quite fast, but a very important part too. It is easy to make a mistake here and the whole picture will look awful. The good thing with small details are that you can go slowly and if you do make a mistake-you can correct it. It is not that visible and by making a defect as an effect. So that none will be able to actually notice anything. As if it was planned to be that way.
Even if i would like to use an eraser to correct something(which is something i never do, and try to avoid) then it is actually quite impossible. Charcoal does not want to erased. Maybe some lighter strokes you can eraser completely, but dark ones-No. And i am drawing on paper, which means i cant try to erase something by pushing aggressively. That would only damage the whole drawing. Great thing is that i really enjoy drawing tigers, lions and it has been a while since i have drawn a lion, so i am having a great time here. Also this work is not a commission, so i can feel free and just let it go naturally.
