Erasing highlights in my charcoal drawing By EdgarsArt

in #art7 years ago

In this post i wanted to point out the way and the exact eraser i am using in my charcoal works. The first photo i took from one of my recent dark charcoal drawings. It was a dalmatian, in which i had to work with an eraser for about 10 hours even and you can see the lines i was drawing. I was erasing to be exact.
The second photo is from my recent commissioned dark charcoal drawings. Here you can see the eraser i am using mostly. I keep it very sharp all the time, to erase the lines. I need them as sharp and white as i can get, so after about 3 strokes, the eraser is black and again i need to sharpen it. It takes about 20 seconds, and again i can do about 3 strokes. Now you can imagine about how long i need to work to get one drawing done. That is why this process takes hours and hours.

Great work! It totally brings out the details

Awesome! Love the details. I just started drawing, and what you are able to do seems so far away....damn..

Thanks:) All you have to do is to work hard and don't stop:)
