Black Cat Charcoal Commissioned Drawing Part 2 By EdgarsArt

Got some progress on my latest commissioned cat portrait.

I am still trying to get it darker and darker, just to get the right tone for it, taking the fact that cat is completely black. There are just some light spaces around the eyes and nose, but overall it is black.
As i said in my previous post: This work was commissioned by a friend of mine, who lives in Canada, and his cat just week ago passed away, so i now have this honor of making a portrait.
It has a very strange look now, because the cat is lying upside down, so i will have a task to find out how i am going to draw the background. Maybe i will draw a blanket or something like that, because in the original photo the floor is very light and in the drawing is will seem like the cat is in the air just flying, but i need to draw something, to make it look good and realistic.
I think i need it to be 2 times darker now. Right now i am just putting layer after layer on, then smudging it with a brush and repeating the same thing again and again.
