I'm back with another drawing and today I decided to draw Ninetales (from Pokemon) together with it's Alolan form (introduced in Pokemon Sun & Moon last year). It has been one of my favorite pokemon since Generation 1 and with the Alolan form, it got a little boost in competitive.

This was drawn on Vellum board (200gsm). Using a Staedtler Mars Lumograph graphite 3b pencil, Faber Castell water colour pencils, 0.1/0.2 Black Uni Pin pens.

I started with sketching the Alolan Ninetales and also started a little bit of the regular Ninetales.

Then I did the rest of Ninetales.

And I traced the Alolan Ninetales with my 0.2 Unipin Pen.

Then did the same for Ninetales with the 0.1 for extra details.

Then here is my colouring method. I just place hard shadings in the part where it's darker and light ones on the brighter sides. I have been using this method ever since I drew the Red Toothless. With this colouring method I only used one shade of blue and that's it. My friends sometimes say that I colour things messily but when they see the results they sometimes just be "How???".

And as you can see that it went well when it was mixed with water.

Same thing with Ninetales but here I used three colours.
