Dear Steemians,
Welcome to my blog, every tribes has Its own culture and every culture has Its own pride, am about to show you show details of the pride of African culture, as far as cultures is concern Africa cannot be left out because we have a very attractive, beautiful, colours art and cultures.
This beautiful art illustrate little about activities some of our Africa lady do observed during the cultural festival, there are lots of diverce cultural norm's and believe but commonly when Africa lady dress up putting on Africa attires they all look so beautiful. This reminds me of Odun Isu (Yam Festival) in my home town, you asked what is Odun Isu (Yam Festival)?
Odun Isu( Yam Festival): is a traditional festival which usually came up every year, we do observed this festival between July to August of every year, this festival mark the beginning of another traditional year round to start harvesting yam from respective farm for any purpose, the policy of this festival simple means that no one is eligible to taste yam before the festival day, the king has to taste the farm first and then pronounced that everyone can start eating their harvested yam, during this period of festival many competition was initiated by chiefs and kings himself which gives dancers, musicians and wrestlers the chances to win prices, gifts and many prices were been given one to best man or woman who its performance outsmart others and each of the winners go home with reasonable prices.
This makes this competition to be highly competitive and many winners emerged every festival year to win big prices such as, cattle, money, properties, even story been told that if a bachelor are among the emerged winners and found favour from King such guy might be given lady for hands in marriage if they like each other, but which lady would not like to marry a star? Lol I guess alot of lady would want such man to be her hubby!
This yam festival of a things is really fun and I bet if you witness one you wouldn't like to miss it, I pictures a certain beautiful lady whose her cultural attairs (dresses) amazed me when they are coming out to entertain everyone with traditional music and dancing.
