Eversong Woods | Original Painting

Hey guys 🙋

Tonight is a special night for me. After many hours and lots of trial and error, i finished this picture in tribute to one of my favorite games, World of Warcraft.

Not only did i learn so much from this piece as i found out about new painting techniques as i hit some walls, but i also relished the nostalgia i felt when i saw the picture come together, as it started to resemble the beautiful land of the Blood Elves in WoW.

Everytime i went there with my characters, it gave me this warm feeling because of the gorgeous colors and especially in the evening, the lightning was so soothing.

I remember specifically one time when i was still in school, where i stayed up all night because i was so scared of a test the next day that i didn't study for lol.

To try to relax, knowing i couldn't learn quickly enough to pass the test during the night, i went to the Eversong Woods and watched the sunrise there along with the music & ambience, and it chilled me out so much. Even after that i went there every now and again just to let my mind go.

The people of Blizzard really did an amazing job with this zone and the art in the game in general. This is my way of showing my appreciation of their wonderful artists, who i hope will keep on making such incredible worlds 💗
