learning to draw

My 12 year old son has started to learn how to sketch properly in pencils at school and do shading.

I was watching him the other day and remembered just how much I used to love drawing still life pictures in pencil when I was his age too.

He inspired me to have a go and here are my first attempts in 25 years at drawing! I thought I would start with basic cube and sphere shapes...

I have to admit it is not as easy as I remember lol I am certainly no Picasso! But I did enjoy having a go, so maybe I will watch some tutorials and see if I can learn to draw properly. I don't have a natural flare, but I am hungry to learn a new skill.
