Staedtlered!
Picked up some staedtlers today, as I was also trying to develop some idea for Inktober. I thought to do some hand exercise while I thought about the theme for today. Pencil colors on brown paper had remained untested by me and I remembered seeing really cool illustrations made by my friends studying fashion design. I wasn't too sure if the colors would even show through (which now I am realising, also needs to be tested on black sheet) so I started with a white dot.
Because generally if a paper can reflect white than it is pretty much good to do for other colors too. To my surprise, it worked pretty well and even better for the rest of the shades which were very close to brown. Now I can water things up and see what that does to this illustration or leave it as it is. Water doesn’t interact too well with this paper for some reason so that is a concern, but we’ll see, haha!
