(The City in the Country) - City & Landscape Photography Poway, CA *6/28/2018*

Welcome back to another day off from work! Today, we visit the city in the country. More specifically, it's main park, the "Poway Old Park."
It is an old western city, inside a main cities park and country. Not sure if that makes much sense, but that's kind of how California is set up. Many smaller environments part of a larger ecosystem.
Anyways, it's a wonderful old west city and park right in the middle of upper class neighborhoods in SoCal. There are a few themed restaurants nearby, but mostly residential.
I figured with a day off from one of my jobs, I will shoot some photos in a gorgeous area to relax for my second job. I did what I could to try hide most of the cars, restaurants, and houses nearby.

Awesome windmill that was near a visitor station. Sadly, there was no wind, so there was no action. Nonetheless, stunning.

The first glimpse of the past. We see here the main train station for boarding and products. They obviously boast the American flag. We are getting close to our Independence Day here in America.

Even to this day, the presence of a train engineer is required. Why you ask? Well, they still run a train on a small portion of the track!

Looks like it wasn't running today. Looks like someone else took the day off! Damn, he is looking good though, right? for 110+ years old, it look's pretty well taken care of.

The indication of no lights,let me know that I was safe to be on the tracks and take my photos.

There is even a rXr crossing sign in the park for the pedestrians.

OK, last but not least..... A gold fire hydrant. Yes, a gold fire hydrant. Have you ever seen one before? I haven't!
