Kauai - Hawaii, USA

Have you ever felt like you were out of place somewhere? I mean in the sense that maybe around the next bush and tree is a freakin T-Rex!?
Well, I have never had this before my visit to Hawaii. It is literally the stuff that dreams are made of. I am tall man, being 6'4", I rarely have to get on my tippy toes to peer over things. There is so much excess foliage, a dinosaur could lurk anywhere.

Always a good sign to come upon water when in nature. Even better if it is running. Clear flowing water is a great sign that the water is safe to consume without further modifications.


I did this entire 6 mile hike barefooted. I was told it was super muddy and I was only wearing sandals.
So what was I to do?
That's right, barefoot! I had to get through the hike.


After the 5 mile marker, you reach a small but satisfying waterfall. It was one of the first I have ever seen in the wild. It was nothing compared to what I was about to see.


The end goal was this Giant water fall. It must have been 300 ft. tall and 5--75 ft deep in the pool. I was so happy, look at my face! I didn't are it was 50 degree water.
