Year 713 , the mussulman conquerd the castle of Salobreña and with this the highest point in the village and near the sea. From this point they could do several crusades against the coast of granada.

*all the way up :-) between little nice white houses.

Today, the castle is a unique architectural memorial high above the city towering above Salobrena.

Mighty walls are build up to sustain every try to conquer it.

Some pics now from the inside. If you were not polite they throw you into this hole :-)

Even if you don’t like the castle, the view is breathtaking, so enjoy :-)

So this is was my entry for the #architecturalphotography , thanks for explore with me the castle :-)

It was a long walk up ... but it was worth...

After that we stoped for refreshing us :-) in a little restaurant on the same hill - this and the view was so fantastic, that i have to make later a separate Post ;-)

Wow, that really was an amazing look at a slice of history. To wonder just how many people walked through, and lived in, the castle. So much history <3

And it really does have the best view! :)
