The magical and wonderful "2 Years on Steem"-post

in #anniversary6 years ago

Yeah, I kind of forgot to post this on the correct "2 years birthday" as I had kind of planned to do. I didn't have any big plans though, like what to write about, what to tell or even what to think.

It would be so easy to tell about the journey so far, what has changed, what I have learned blah blah. About how friendship is magic and how long term work has brought me where I am today.

Well at least I can tell you that I've learned to be chill about Steem. I don't need to stress about this and make a big deal out of it. That's also the reason why I managed to forget my 2 year special day on Steem! Because it's not a big deal. And neither it needs to be. Every now and then I feel some have really high expectations on Steem and take a big stress about how they're doing on Steem, but it rarely ends very well.

But we're here. At least me, those who are earning on the platform and the bots. We're enjoying our time happily together.

But the happiness comes from the social aspect. I'm glad I can still say this, as I've been here long enough. I could also give you tips how to earn better, but nobody would believe me. Especially as I'm not rich myself. But still I'm surprised how many newbies still try to give other newbies advice on how to earn more money on Steem.

It's still one of joys to stick around. To see a newbie account with less than $1 payouts in total, giving advice how to earn.

But the social thing.

I can't write about it though, as it would be the "Friendship is magic"-style thing which I promised not to write about.

Instead I'll tell you some of my future plans, as this is about going towards the future. Not looking in the past.

  1. Finish my current story. I have good plans, but it's more difficult to write than to think of great twists - as they're difficult to write as well as I'd want to.
  2. Make one or two baking posts.
  3. Come up with short stories with great twists
  4. Tell people to use Steempeak more
    1. Hey you can do this too
    2. Awesome
      1. How far can I go?
      2. I think this is enough
    3. Ha ha ha
  5. Have a few awesome contests with small prices, so people will not be very interested
  6. Think of a better post for 3 year anniversary post.

This is one thing I'm also doing too rarely.
Writing posts with very little point. I used to do that more.

Then I grew up and became a boring adult.

Congrats Apsu!
And tell me more about Steempeak!

Thank you timminator!

And I'd be happy to. Steempeak is a website to use Steem blockchain, just like Steemit is, just run by a different team. This means you'll see all the same content you see on Steemit, but only in a different user interface.

The differences are not that big to make the experience completely different, but Steempeak has multiple features which make it more fun and comfortable to use. Few of my favorite things are however these:

  1. Notifications which work - you can also choose do you get notifications from replies, rewareds, upvotes etc.
  2. You can see your Voting Mana and RC without going separately to Steemd, Steemworld or similar sites. Steempeak also has otherwise far more data visible than Steemit has.
  3. Drafts! You can write multiple drafts in advance and they're automatically saved while your write the post, so at one point I've had 3 saved drafts waiting to be finished. In addition to this, you can create post templates if you're creating similar kinds of post frequently!
  4. You can set beneficiaries too! I didn't even know I needed this feature, but now I can create a post with help of someone else and mark automatically someone else to get their share of the reward.

It doesn't cost anything to try it out, especially when logging is done through Steemconnect, so I'd say it's perfectly safe and effortless to give it a try :)

Woah! You were here that early? I thought you arrive the same time as me which would have been about 7-8 months later.

Congrats!

What is your story about? I will check it out

Thanks! Well I joined a bit over 2 years ago, but posted for the first time after around two months after joining. Then after a few posts I had a pause, but I think I became long-term active around when you joined too.

I've been writing a fantasy story based on a fictional world I've been using in some of my previous short stories. I had a dream of making a game or games in this fictional world, but as I have no skills regarding this, I'm trying to use it in stories instead.

congratz breadman.

Now I am confused. am I apsu? Or am I male version of a sexbot...My program has no answer. All my search tells me is " Error! information not found..."

"To see a newbie account with less than $1 payouts in total, giving advice how to earn."
I am a nearly year old. My size is also 1cm. . I like to tell people how to get bigger.

"Steempeak"
Part of me wants to ask wtf it is. Part of me thinks that I am not gonna use it anyway so it doesn't matter.

Care to hire a ghostwriter? If you will buy posts for 3 years I will give you a discount.

Thank you firefoot!
Let me clear up some details for you...

  1. We all are apsu deep inside our hearts.
  2. Depending on what you are, 1 cm can be already big enough. "I found a 1 cm zit in your face"
  3. Steempeak is a good option to use Steem blockchain. It has features which make Steem more comfortable to use than Steemit is, also providing much more interesting data to users! I'd recommend to give it a try.
  4. I do like ghosts, but they're terrible at writing.

Congratulation apsu with well done first two years on Steemit, Great targets for the next one:)

Thank you :)
At this point it starts to feel I've been here a long time!

Lol i laughed so hard, dunno why

Ha, well they say - never trust financial advice from someone with a cheap car ;)

I always say, organizing things before is half of the work done :D hope you'll stick to your future plans because they sound interesting and very achievable. And the most important! Bravo for overcoming the stress, braking the loop of stressing about sometimes is so difficult in our mind, but it is the most adorable thing we can give to ourselves - not to worry 😊

That might be the reason I'm never getting anything finished.. I'm terrible at organizing anything!

That's not completely true. I can organize something which takes 2-5 minutes organize, after that my mind gets distracted. A shame though, I'm sure I could achieve great things. I'm lucky I don't care :)

Think you're doing great even without the plan. Maybe some of us just didn't figure it out how to plan and stick to it! But then we make something amazing without even thinking we'll do!

Anyway, rhis is how curious mind works, if you stick to something too long, there could be the feeling that you're missing out on some other things, perpetuum mobile of thoughts that give us great opportunities in life, as you said smoothly, without care what will go wrong 🤗
