It's A Beautiful Sunday For a Nap in Panama
Apparently it's a great day to take a nap...if you're an animal! I caught both pairs of our animals snoozing away!
Mirakuru and Akihiro
Mirakuru is our 2 year old Akita that we brought with us from Texas. Akihiro is our 4 month old white Husky that we got here in Panama. It's amazing how they have become friends so quickly.
Orange Kitty and White Kitty
These two cats had other names previously, but they didn't stick! We rescued these two siblings a year ago when we first moved here. They are a little over a year old now. Best lizard killers around!
No wonder there were such good naps going on with this crazy rain falling outside!

@apanamamama Wow Akihiro is getting so big, but still very much looks like a pup! Now, what were all the kiddos doing whilst all this napping during the storm was going on...? I'm guessing not napping lol :)
No, the kids definitely weren't napping. We have some kids in our neighborhood who they love to play with all the time, so they were playing with them. Or playing video games. I can't remember which. ;) Yes, Aki is getting big! He's starting to get himself into trouble too!!! Chasing neighbor's chickens and such. Not good!!

Beautiful crew you have :) I've always been interested in Akitas, but then I tend to like large white dogs... They tend to be a bit of a handful though, don't they?
As far as the names of the kitties, I get it: I've had a pet bunny that started off with another name and then just became 'moppet' which suited her far better. My brother has one better - he used to have two black cats, phoebe and jasmine that lived in his apartment in Brighton. One day, sitting in his lounge he suddenly realised there were three black cats just chilling in the lounge... He'd kind of noticed that one cat was sometimes slinking around or hiding under the bed but had assumed it was one of the girls! So he ended up with an extra black cat called 'spare' 😂
Lol - Spare is a pretty funny name for a cat! Ha! Akitas are bred to be guard dogs and she is just what we need here in Panama for a little added security. She lets us know if anyone comes into the neighborhood or near the house. She is a family dog and only really likes our family. If others try to pet her, she growls at them.

Awww they llook cozy indeed. It is hard to take a nap with a very hot and hum,id weather we have here.

Keeping the Aircon all day is needed.
Wow, that does sound pretty warm! Napping when you're hot is never fun!
Today it reached 42 degrees! If I was not inside and have aircon I would have melted outside!
Aww, love the puppies! It does look like a great day for a nap. That water reminds me of Spain's rainy season. There was one year, we had rain just about every day for three and a half months. Not all day, but at least a shower... Crazy! Good luck with it. May your umbrellas be strong and durable!
Yeah, we keep getting teased by rainy season. It can't decide if it wants to really rain or not every day. Some days it does and some it doesn't. Then it is showering tonight which is weird because it didn't rain all day but was cloudy. One of these days it will kick into gear. I usually just make a run for it or wear my rain jacket and rain boots. I hate dealing with umbrellas with kids! :)

We used to have a cat that my husband had found as a stray kitten on the streets, Gizmo. He was beautiful, but quite the ruffian, Loved to be outside fighting and hunting. Later we adopted a sweet little Siamese kitten, Fiona. She had been born to an indoor cat and had never been outside before. Suddenly we were finding lizards, dead and alive in the house. I thought it was surely Gizmo until I caught Fiona in the act! She looked so sweet and calm, but she was quite the huntress! Lol!
As funny as it is now, I had a new baby crawling around so the thought of her coming across a dead lizard did cause me some stress at the time! 🤣
Lol - that would not be good for baby to encounter a dead lizard on the ground. I used to have to dig bugs out of my baby's mouth when he first started crawling. Then I started doing a better job of vacuuming. ;) Ha. So gross! I love Siamese. They are my favorite.
