These gracefully strutting birds always make for a good photo motive: When looking for a fish to catch, they will completely stand still and watch the water in absolute concentration.

However, a photographer needs more luck than I had to actually see a heron catch its prey.

This time, I only have another picture of the heron’s concentrated look instead:
