Animal Photography: Three Cats in the Garden, แมวสามตัวในสวนที่บ้าน

The kitten that got bitten by my neighbour's dog and disappeared for seven days is now speedily recovering from her ordeal. I have managed to fatten her up in less than four days. Her wound is healing up nicely. A few days ago, my gardener reported that the black dog came to chase all the cats away again. Luckily they all came back after two days. I had asked my gardener to tell my neighbour to tie that hunting dog whenever he takes her down to the cottage by the river. That dog tends to go berserk whenever she has lots of space to roam freely. Now he has promised to tie the dog in the his cottage garden. So, I hope that all the cats will be at peace and happy.

Last week I noticed two visitors in my garden. One is a completely black cat, a well fed looking cat; another was the male ginger cat which seemed a bit older than the young black cat. I wonder why my mother ginger cat suddenly went into hiding when she saw that black cat. The mother cat should have her kittens some time this month. I am going to have to find a way of getting all the cats to the vet soon. I do hope that the two kittens will allow me to touch them soon. I still go back to old photos looking at the lovely kitten that got killed by the dog, that was quite a big loss for me.

ลูกแมวที่โดนหมาของเพื่อนบ้านกัดและหายตัวไปเกือบเจ็ดวันนั้น ตอนนี้เราได้อัดอาหารให้กินจนอ้วนขึ้นมาในเวลาสี่วัน แผลที่โดนกัดก็เริ่มแห้งและตึ้นขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เมื่อสามวันก่อนคนสวนรายงานว่าหมาตัวเดิมแอบเข้ามาไล่กัดแมวในสวนกระเจิงอีกแล้ว โชคดีที่มันกลับมาบ้านภายในเวลาสองวัน เราได้ให้คนสวนไปบอกให้ตาเจ้าของหมานักล่าช่วยผูกหมาไว้ที่กระท่อมริมแม่นํ้าด้วย แมวโดนกัดตายไปแล้วหนึ่งตัว เจ้าของรับทราบและจะผูกหมาให้ตั้งแต่นี้ต่อไป เราจึงหวังว่าแมวคงได้อยู่อย่างสงบสุข

สัปดาห์ก่อนเราเห็นแมวแปลกหน้าเข้ามาในสวนสองตัว ตัวหนึ่งเป็นแมวสีดำล้วน หน้าตาคมขำและอ้วนพี ส่วนอีกตัวหนึ่งเป็นแมวส้มตัวผู้ซึ่งคนสวนคิดว่าเป็นพ่อของลูกแมวสามตัวนี้ เราบอกให้คนสวนไล่ไปให้หมด มันจะข้ามดินแดนโดยไม่ผ่านการตรวจสอบวีซ่าและประวัติอาชญากรก่อนไม่ได้ กลัวจะเป็นพวกแมวสิบแปดมงกุฎ แต่ที่น่าแปลกใจคือแม่แมวจะหลบไปซ่อนทันทีทีเห็นแมวดำตัวนี้ มันคงได้กระแสไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไร แมวดำอาจจะมีฟอร์มดีแต่แฝงวาระซ่อนเร้นก็ได้ แม่แมวจะคลอดลูกในเดือนนี้แล้ว เราต้องหาทางพาแมวไปหาหมอให้ได้ในอนาคตนี้
