Fiat Currency

I guess I sort of covered that under "WAR" as fiat currency and war go together like flies and shit... It is one of the stunning changes in me since joining steemit, I had equated crytpo with fiat and refused to buy any bitcoin all these years. I have a totally different view now, although crypto could still fairly be called "fiat." The key difference is DECENTRALIZED. We run the printing press, as a collective of people voluntarily generating a useful currency. I often point out that Jesus wandered the Middle East feeding the hungry, healing the sick, even raising the dead with very little hassle. He walked into the Temple one day and in an unprecedented act of violence against humans, he knocked over the money-changers' tables. He was on a cross that weekend. The people who love money more than their fellow men get rich and wage perpetual war on fiat currency.

Reefer Madness

I devoted a career to ophthalmology. I learned back in 1986 that the Federal Government had a couple dozen glaucoma patients on marijuana and they were NOT going blind. At all. Our patients were slowly going blind. That is what Pharma drugs offer, they can slow down how fast you go blind from glaucoma. They are so good at it that most glaucoma patients will die before they go totally blind and they are SO happy to hear that!!! But the people using marijuana are not going blind. Marijuana is neuro-protective, the only known such substance on the planet. People who are hung up on "recreational users" need to get over themselves and the lies they were taught. Marijuana prohibition has its roots in racism and greed, and that is what continues to fuel the "Just Say No" bullshit. Junkies will find a fix, you are just preventing epileptics and Parkinson's patients from being HEALED.

The Police State

My grandfather was a cop. The cops when I was a kid saved one of my dumb-ass friend's life when he overdosed. There USED to be fine men wearing a badge and gun whotried to protect and serve. Did you know the Supreme Court has declared cops have NO DUTY to protect you, at all? In ANY situation? I assure you, that is not the lie in this post. Our local Sheriff's deputies - just in the few years I have lived here - have been caught raping a drunk woman in a squad car (while her date was hauled to jail) and gunning down a local rancher in cold blood. Google "Jack Yantis." If it was JUST a local problem, this would have no place on such a list but this is the result of deliberate militarization of our civilian forces, and it is bullshit.

Trump

Oh yes, I went THERE!!! No worries about picking sides, you may substitute the name of virtually any elected official. As far as Trump specifically... Lock her up already. Or him. Lock up ANY high level traitor, pedophile, or any REAL threat to "National Security." I put aside my anarchy ethics and voted for you, I gave you a shot. Now I want to see something more than a Q-tease.

Now then... ten facts and one lie about me...

1. My father was a pen pal of Ayn Rand.
2. My mother quit treating her second bout of breast cancer with tamoxifen and starting eating blueberries every day. She lived ten more years, into her mid-80s.
3. My Grandmother was an International Bridge Champion.
4. My Great Aunt was one of the first telegraph operators.
5. My Great Grandfather ran one of the first Pharmaceutical companies in the country.
6. I was started in piano lessons at age 5 when I started playing "Fur Elise" by ear, copying my older sister who had been taking piano lessons.
7. I play piano, guitar and harmonica.
8. I once taught computer classes at a college.
9. I used to be a soccer coach.
10. I built trail in Hell's Canyon for the Forest Service.
11. I won the 600 yard dash in 6th grade on "Field Day" just to spite the gym teacher who told me I was not a good runner.
    I hope it is obvious that the handful of people who actually know me are not eligible for the ten truths one lie thing. Did you spot the lie? I will award 1 SBD to the first person who comments with the truth but NOT UNTIL THE POST PAYS OUT. Plus you will earn my respect because as noted, I am a truther so even telling this one lie for fun sort of disagrees with me... LOL! If no one gets it, I will confess when the post pays out anyway.

OK, this has been a rather sublime way to spend my Sunday, although I am going to have to get some chores done now. I am trying to be more like the uber-awesome @c0ff33a here, combining several seemingly unrelated tags into one in depth and hopefully entertaining piece rather than make several posts!
