Walking around the zoos - Zoo of Rivne - Ukraine - Pelicans

In the series of this series of posts I want to tell you about one wonderful place that we love to visit with the whole family, this is the zoological garden of the city of Rivne, Ukraine.

The territory of the zoo is vast and it is very green. You can always find a shadow on a hot summer day.

After purchasing tickets, keep to the right so you can see more.

Pelicans will meet you first. These are wonderful and very sociable birds. Above them there is no aviary cage, only a low wooden fence that does not prevent you from communicating with birds.

If you have your lips painted on and you have a white feather in your beak, then you are the star of this party. This pelican made me smile.

I really like the color of these birds, pastel colors are combined with bright strokes.

The pelicans have an excellent appetite, but it is not always possible to swallow large fish at one time.

As I said, communication can be very close. This communication has only one drawback, the unpleasant smell from the mouth of pelicans. They like raw fish.

We talked to the pelicans, let them rest now, and we, go ahead, we have a lot of interesting things to do!

For reference, pelicans live in large numbers in the south of Ukraine, on the Black Sea coast. I first saw them in the wild there. We were at the resort near the Dniester estuary. It was the salty water of the estuary and its inhabitants that attracted these birds.

The zoo is located at the exit from the city of Rivne towards Kiev. The street is called Kiev.

Tickets at affordable prices, a children's ticket costs a little more than one US dollar, for adults, tickets cost about two dollars.
