App & Website Review: BUA App and Website
The test was done on the following devices,
- Dell Inspiron 15, i7 laptop, Google Chrome.
- Galaxy Trend GT-S7560, Android 4.0.4
- ALMAZ Alps D9850, Android 6.0
- RedMi 3s, Android 6.0.1
Here Goes:
Website: http://www.bua.space
- Super simple, Easy to navigate if you are on a PC
- No scrolling, which is good
- colors are simple so it’s not all up in your face
- It’s cognition is amazing, by just observing you know what everything does
- Speed, it’s fast so great
- On the downside, the app is not responsive, something which can be changed with a few lines of code
- Also it doesn’t take advantage of the social media link crawlers., it just shows the website title and url, which can also be changed with just a few HTML meta tags
The App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=space.bua.app&rdid=space.bua.app
- First run is awesome, it tells you what the app does
- Another nice thing is it gives you a disclaimer before you continue with the app, which I feel they could ave given before getting your details ( My opinion)
- It verified your email before you get into the app
- After that you are now on your own, you have to figure out what the traffic lights are for. You report bad, good or average service. Then it takes you to where you got the particular service and when The auto complete feature is amazing., From there you write your review and optionally attach a picture. As soon as this happens the app crashes( GT-S7560). I checked the website and realised that the review was actually posted 3 times!
- Another amazing feature is that you can do your reviews offline, and as soon as you have internet connection, your review will be sent out automatically, and you will get a notification that your review was sent
- Amazing animations
- Minimal app. Shows you what you need to use
On the downside
- Cognition is a little off, but that’s not entirely bad,
- The design is not too bad, but could use some improvements.
- Location can’t locate nearby companies on RedMi 3S even though my location services was on, Same goes for the GT-S7560
In Summary
- The app is great, even though it crashed on my Almaz and GT -S7560.
Consider building for devices on Marshmallow going up as permissions have changed, consider an update as the last update was last year June.
So for my rating I will give BUA App 7 out of 10
The website is great on desktop, but will be a problem for people using mobile, so consider making your app responsive to change in screen sizes.
