Anarchaforko Anarchapulco Fork Update: Anarchapulco is Over! 3 Days Until the Main Event!

We’re counting down the hours to the fork at this point as we do what we can to make last minute preparations. People like @kennyskitchen and @erikaharris have already been posting their own updates for their plans for the fork. I’ll share the links to their recent updates below, as it’ll give you all an idea of what some people are planning on doing during the fork.

I’ve been getting a lot of people contacting me about the schedule and the truth is most of the awesome things I’ve heard will happen at the fork have not yet been added to the schedule. The whirlwind that is Anarchapulco is just now starting to come to a close allowing forkers to refocus. I urge anyone in town that’s planning on coming to purchase a ticket and get involved as soon as you can if you haven’t already.

When does it start?

Anarchaforko officially starts as soon as Anarchapulco is officially over, although at this time there are no planned pre-events. We’re considering plans for a pre-fork party but at this time don’t have anything set in stone.

The official main event starts the 23rd, this Friday at 10 am, although gates open at 9. That means you technically have free roam of the beautiful outdoor grounds every day at 9 am. The property the hall we’ve rented is on is huge, and we have permission to roam it freely during our time there. This is at the Acapulco International Center.

The idea is for forkers staying after the main event to take advantage of the bay and host events all over the city, from clubs and bars to beaches or the island.

Where to stay?

We’ve got a group discount worked out for the dates of February 22-26th for 1615 pesos a night but we also encourage forkers to get creative depending on their needs during their time in Acapulco.

What Will We Do?

At this point what happens at the fork is seriously going to be up in the air as many people still have yet to share their forking plans with the world. Start brainstorming now what you want to do, even if it’s just attend. Remember that events can be added last minute, even a few hours before they occur!

Putting it simply we’re behind and we are doing our best to get things together at a minimal degree the best we can. There’s so much we wanted to do but just have not been able to due to time constraints.

We’ve got Corona coming to sell beers and we’re going to have someone selling prepared food, as well as drinks from Verde Vegan. From my understanding there are some big updates to look forward to from @kennyskitchen whos’ been essential in the development of this thing especially recently.
