Our American road trip--美国公路之旅即将启程！

Hello everyone, my name is Kate! I am about to go on an America Road Trip - east coast - west coast (that's THE American road trip!) with my fiancé Dave. We have been planning this for a long, long time... over two years and finally it will start in 4 days! We are both so excited for it!

We saved all our money working in Moscow for a year, and have been doing the same from here in China.

Today we went to the bank to get a visa card, it will play a very important part in this trip for sure, hehe..... We also got a little speaker, so we can have some tunes on the way. Personally I'm very excited for this part, because in all the American road trip movies music is the biggest part. Though I have this weird problem where I fall asleep when driving (as a passenger, not a driver), so either the music will be keeping me awake or it will be serenading me to sleep. Maybe we need some death metal to keep me up...
On the 14th July 2017, we will get on a flight to Doha, then transfer to New York. That's cool... I've never been around the Doha area, though we can't get out and look around, but they have windows right? Unfortunately we recently found out that since our flight to New York is coming from Doha, we can't bring the computer on the plane. We have to put all the electronic items (except phones, thank god) into the hold, which we only found out a few days ago because someone mentioned it in passing... if he hadn't then we'd likely be throwing away (THROWING AWAY!) a laptop, a camera (that was borrowed from someone who WOULD want to be paid back), and probably some important hard drives that have got everything on them that I can remember in my own head. But I imagine the electronics will be thrown around in the suitcase, so at least they'll still be able to get some damage.

Anyway... that's the plan. Let's see what happens. I'll be back soon.

大家好，我是Kate。我和未婚夫Dave即将踏上我们的美国公路之旅（从东海岸出发一直到西海岸）！我们已经计划了两年之久了，终于还有4天就要开始旅行啦！ 好兴奋呀！！！
为了这次旅行我们一直在存钱存钱存钱......之前在莫斯科工作的时候就开始存，一直到现在回中国了还在存， 终于存够了盘缠😄可以开开心心的上路啦！
今天我们去银行办了张visa卡，我们旅行中最为重要的一部分，在中国用的都是银联卡，出国的话还是visa卡最好用。我们还买了一个小音箱，这样在路上我们就有音乐为伴了！我个人还是特别喜欢这个小音箱的，因为看了好多美国公路旅行电影，男女主角一边开车一边唱歌，那感觉真的是浪漫➕青春呀！但本人最大的一个缺点就是一上车就会立即进入睡眠状态（遗传了老爸的良好基因😄）所以不知道在路上这音乐会真的让我保持清醒还是会变成催眠曲，或许需要一些重金属摇滚来刺激我，我们拭目以待吧，哈哈！
2017，7月14号我们飞往多哈，从那里转机去纽约。从来没去过中东地区，这次去转机终于可以去见识一下了，虽然只是在机场里，但也算是会留下印记的，哈哈！刚才还为能去看一眼中东地区兴奋呢，马上就被朋友提醒：所有从中东去往美国的航班都不允许带电子产品上飞机（手机除外）！妈呀，要不是朋友及时提醒，估计到了多哈我们就不是欣赏风景了，而是要把电脑～相机（借的朋友的😢）～重要的储存盘统统扔掉，贡献给多哈机场，光是想想整个人就都不好了...... 但是就算把这些电子产品放到大旅行箱里，它们被运输人员扔来扔去，估计拿到手的时候也已经被虐待过无数遍了吧！只能祈祷了 我的💻和📷！
