Welcome to a new episode of the local gem safari ! In this series you can send me out to places of your choice and I will report back to you what I stumble upon!

Willkomen zu einer neuen Ausgabe der local gem safari! In dieser Serie könnt Ihr mich zu Orten Eurer Wahl schicken und ich werde berichten, auf was ich dort stosse.

This is how it works: At the end of this post you find the perimeter within which you can send me around once every week. Grab the coordinates or the name of the place of your interest from google maps and post it to the comments. You can either specify what you want me to capture at that location Or you simply leave it up to me to decide what I find worth reporting from there.

The proposal with the most upvotes after the first payout will send me to the next destination and will be rewarded with 25% of the earnings of the resulting post!

Und so funktioniert´s: Am Ende dieses Beitrages findet ihr den Aktionsradius innherhalb dessen Ihr mich einmal pro Woche losschicken könnt. Entnehmt Google maps die Koordinaten oder die Bezeichnung des Ortes der Euch interessiert, und postet diese als Kommentar. Ihr könnt angeben, was genau ich dort für Euch einfangen soll Oder Ihr überlasst es mir zu entscheiden, was ich von dort berichte. Der Vorschlag mit den meisten upvotes nach der ersten Auszahlung gibt das Ziel für die nächste Safari vor und wird mit 25% der Einnahmen des resultierenden Beitrages belohnt!

Seems like the remnants of an ordinary window. But if you know which brick to push it becomes an intergalactic portal! The first such portal I found on this planet.

Die Überreste eines scheinbar normalen Fensters. Weiss man allerdings, welchen der Mauersteine man eindrücken muss, stellt sich dieses als intergalaktisches Portal heraus! Bislang das erste, dass ich auf diesem Planeten gefunden habe.

Mace and a Raven´s beak. The Raven´s beak was the armor-piercing melee weapon of it´s time and was considered unchivalrous. Quite understandable from a knight´s perspective...

Streitkolben und Rabenschnabel. Der Rabenschnabel war zu seiner Zeit DIE panzerbrechende Nahkampfwaffe und (verständlicherweise) als "unritterliche" Waffe angesehen.

• Go to google maps -> using this link <- and browse the map within a maximum distance of 15 km to Basel, Switzerland.
• If you find something that catches your interest, right click on the location and select ´What's here?´from the context menu to obtain the latitude and longitude coordinates.
• Add the coordinates and/or the name of the place to the comments. If you wish you can further specify what exactly you would like me to report from there. I will use my GPS to get there as close as possible.

-Geht über -> diesen link <- auf Google Maps und durchstöbert die Karte in einem Umkreis von 15 km rund um Basel.
-Wenn ihr auf etwas interessantes stosst, könnt Ihr mit einen Rechtsklick über das Kontextmenü bei "Was ist hier?" die Längen- und Breitengrade des Ortes entnehmen.
-Postet die Koordinaten und/oder den Namen des Ortes als Kommentar. Wenn Ihr möchtet könnt Ihr auch genau beschreiben, was ich vor Ort genau für Euch einfangen soll. Ich werde mein GPS einsetzen, um so nah wie möglich dorthin zu gelangen.
