Hello, everyone!

I'm @foxxycat and this is the first post in the workout series! Thank you @knozaki2015 and
@razvanelul for explaining Steemit to me and encouraging me to do it.

I started this to keep myself honest and actually go to the gym. We all know how hard that is..well, for me it :D I also think that after going to the gym for 6 -7 months, I learned a lot ( most from my trainer! ) and do SOME things right.
I hope you'll get something out of it: an idea for your next workout, some new exercises to try, motivation :)
Join me!

So here I am, with my 10kg bag. It even matches my shirt!

Today I did a "one bag" workout. The idea is to use the same bag for every exercise. If you don't have a bag like that you can use anything else: a kettlebell, a bar, a dumbell. Just be careful to chose a good weight.
I did 10 reps of each, a pause, then 9 reps of each and so on until the last set of 1 rep each. The smaller the break, the more intense the workout. The progression of the exercise is from ground up, ideally the bag should not touch the ground after your start!

First exercise, the annoying deadlift!

Second exercise. row, row row!

Third exercise: push!

The last one, a lunge..this one hurt!

Repeat and over.
This was pretty hard but I had a lot of fun.

At the end I was rather mega tired but oh well. Another workout in: yey me!

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to comment!

Till next time,
foxxie.

Sort:

Similar workout to a class called Body Pump at my local gym, 1 hour of weights with high reps, also including squats, pressups and crunches. I usually do after a 45 minute spin session, so that I burn a lot more calories.

We have Body Pump classes too and I love them! Full of energy and fun

You should be careful with the first exercise: This could damage your intervertrebal discs! Weight lifting has always to be done with your knees.

the deadlift is one of the three most important movements. You should generally be careful with everything you do, i agree :)

That's fine she is doing the deadlift really nicely with very good form and it is only 10kg so no harm there.. I deadlift 90kg at my good days. Followed. Feel free to follow me back, I am a PT x

Thanks @freiheit50 for your suggestion. I know about the risks. My trainer keeps telling me :) that's why I have a small bag...

Thanks @knozaki2015 for your support . And @razvanelulmarin, you are a good promoter for steemit!
It was a hard workout, but what can I do if I love to eat? No gain, no pain :)

foxxy so true ! try my cappucino soup if you crave for some good food ;)

I will. I'm so hungry right now :))

Just noticed i miswrote my name in the title and the first sentence :(( can you pleasw edit?

This is great! I recently finished my courses to be a personal trainer and I can tell you've been working hard, your form is great. It sounds like you're doing a reverse pyramid scheme for your reps and sets, which I find does help keep the motivation up between set, since you're doing less by the end ;)

I saw that you covered most of the planes, was this your whole work out or were there some exercises you kept off the list for the day? I just ask because when I'm doing lunges, I also include medial and lateral lunges, or medial/lateral step ups. Figure if i'm going to be sore, I may as well hit all the spots ;)

Great work, following and enjoying :)

I vary these exercises. I have a leg day of course, that it's killing me every time :)) but for this workout, these were the exercises. :)
Thabks and congrats on being a pt!
