The development of AI has become a national security concern in recent years. China and the US are the most advanced countries. Some analysts warn that the US could fall behind China if fundings are cut to basic science or technology research.

Last Friday, Putin adressed students about the topic:

"Artificial intelligence is the future, not only for Russia, but for all humankind, it comes with colossal opportunities, but also threats that are difficult to predict. Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world."

Let's not be too pessimistic, AI will also help countries in a number of areas:

Just think about it, one mistake in the development of the AI could make it hostile to human kind.
If AI can think by itself, it could simply develop extremist behaviours.
