Hebrews 6: 10-12 (ESV)

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,

so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Jesus, during his stay on Earth taught his disciples how to serve. In one of the desmonststative teaching, he washed their feet against their wish to teach them humility in service.

In another instance, Jesus clearly told the disciples that the greatest of them all is one who wills to serve others in humility (Mark 9: 35).

Certainly, there is blessings in service. When we serve others, we honour God in the lives of those we serve.

Service can be as easy as running an errand or passing a message, and it can also be tedious and sacrificial as in a hard manual labour.

When we serve, it might demand our time, energy, skills, money, etc. As long as we do it in love and humility, there are blessings attached.

Our focal scripture emphasizes that God is not unjust to forget all those labours. He sees them and will surely reward every bit of it.

We are further admonished to continue if we had started.

This actifit was recorded for Saturday, September 21 where I decided to do a manual sanitation exercise at tje premise of my pastor.

I love that line so much as it reassures us of God’s unfailing love and justice to acts of love towards mankind.

Thanks for sharing this my beloved priest.
