freewrite :: 5 minute freewrite - Prompt for Day 833: bonus
Bonus, bonus, bonus... aaah...always music to my ears, especially when I am at the receiving end. I don't mind any kind of bonus - money or goodies or free gifts or time or food, I am all good for bonuses.
At work, bonus is given if the company is doing well, small or big, to me it is still a bonus which I would happily receive but it has been some time since I received a bonus.
When shopping, I love it when you get bonuses in the form of free gifts or vouchers if you buy above a certain amount or if you buy a certain something and is especially sweet when you already plan to buy that something.
Then in games, if you achieve a certain target, you get bonus tools or extra time. Or if you do something with hopes to achieve something but you get something extra, that is a bonus too!
I like giving away bonus too. In my contest on Thursdays, there will usually be 1 winner, and depending on the week and my feel, there will be 1 or 2 bonus winners. It feels good to give away bonuses!
