#needleworkmonday :: Traveling with the half little piggy
Here is how my little piggy looks like now following the pattern @cryptocariad shared. Today has been a day of traveling and I was so very tempted to hand carry this little piggy and my crochet hook into the flight, so that I can continue to work on her but the check-in officer advised me not to, just in case the hook is deemed as a weapon and might risk getting confiscated. And so, into my check-in luggage they went.
Before my flight, I managed to complete the nose and beginning of the face:
Then, at the hotel, I managed to do the ears and front legs. I was actually stuck quite a bit at the FLO PCs and BLO stitches part near the ears and legs, was trying to decipher what they meant.. Sounded very much like UFO. But thank goodness for Google and Youtube. All was kinda sorted out after several hours of pondering and wondering..
I shall continue to work on little miss piggy until it is a full fat piggy . Thank you @cryptocariad for the pattern link !
Traveling does translate to many steps, from checking in, to boarding, to arrival, to collecting the luggage and of course a wee bit of shopping:
Look at all the beautiful pastel fabric colours... When I look closely at the blouses, there is just this little bit of me that think that I might be able to sew this.. Aaahh.. dream, dream, dream. Who knows, maybe one day, I will be able to tackle a blouse neckline, which has always been my fear. But having sort of successfully sewed the summer dress, I think it is possible.

Cute little piggy! I checked with our airlines to see what was allowed and was surprised to find knitting needles, small scissors and sewing needles were allowed!
Ooo!! Lucky you! I was so hoping they would say it is ok but nope.. "better not" they said. Oh well... just less time to work on her, slowly but surely :) Thank you @thistle-rock!

It's so annoying that crochet hooks and knitting needles can be considered a weapon in airports... like you, I always think of the amount of crochet I could do on the flight...
