My Actifit Report Card: April 4 2019 - Favorite Things!
9K on tax prep day! 😠
I'm not a fan of filling out tax forms. it takes a while to gather the data and then make sure you put it properly into the forms according to the instructions which change a bit from year to year. Then if you're living in a state with state income tax, you have to do the same thing all over again with slightly different rules!
I'm in the middle of this process. I hope to have it done this weekend so I can get it in the mail next week. April 15th is rapidly approaching! 😮
The best things in life are free! Maybe it's good to take pleasure in simple things so that you can have a minimalist life with less clutter and worry. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens are things that could really bring you some pleasure if you take the time to really look at them in an unhurried manner. We're always busy with our devices and sometimes you need to interact with the real world!
I mentioned Ariana Grande's song 7 Rings recently. Well some may not know that it is a variation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's song from The Sound of Music called My Favorite Things. This original song talks about how simple things in life can make someone happy. In Grande's version, she needs to do some retail therapy and buy things in order to make herself happy. That's something to think about. In the short-term that might make you happy! In the long-term maybe you're just on a treadmill where you need to make money to buy things and that stresses you out so you need to buy things to make you happy and it's a never-ending circle.
Think about that or whatever comes to your mind as you listen to the original 1965 My Favorite Things song!

Great steps buddy, and yes those taxes can really be a pain. Luckily my wife @blueeyes8960 does mine, cause it would drive me nuts 😖😖😖
