My Actifit Report Card: February 8 2020
Hi everybody!! Thanks for stopping by!
We had an awesome Saturday! I actually got up early (which is different for me as I usually use Saturday mornings to sleep extra to recharge a bit). We had made plans with Jan, to get up and get out of the house for the full hike before noon, so we actually got going at 11:00. The weather forecast had indicated cloudy weather with the sun breaking through around 3 PM. So, what did we find when we went outside? Why misting rain, of course! Why did I ever expect the weather forecast to be accurate? The good news was by the time we hit Bear Hollow, the misting had pretty much stopped. We would still find ourselves hiking in and out of clouds, but I’ll take that any day over rain! By the time we made Buckhorn Ridge to Towhee Ridge, the sun had indeed began to appear! It was so pretty and felt so good on my face! I do have to say at first, we all questioned what the bright light in the sky was, lol! My eyes could barely stand it!
We were done by 1 PM and were almost home when Jim, Jan’s husband came wandering towards us. We razzed him about the whole 20 steps he accumulated , lol!
After making some espresso to go, @silvertop and I headed out to do a bit of shopping in Bellingham. It wasn’t a super comfortable trip as folks just seem to make up traffic laws as they go, and I didn’t get the book on their new law! Also, there are a lot of people who are coughing and sniffling, which raises concerns as to their state of health. Let’s face it…..I DON’T want to share their bugs. I never could understand why people go out if they know they’re ill! It’s not too thoughtful of others, that’s for sure. I know sometimes they don’t have a choice in order to get medicine, but from what I was seeing, this was not the purpose of their trip.
I’m glad to be back home!

Isn't it so true... the weather forecast is inaccurate most of the time! One of my girlfriends brought me several masks because she was worried that I might get sick again, and many here are coughing and sniffling. Yeah... I should really try to stay at home although I was out the entire day Saturday. And of course, it is Sunday and Sunday is church day!
