This stretch feels so good that I even got @crypt-skip to try it. After 90 minutes of workout this really stretches your quads and inner thighs. I put the Zen Garden station on Pandora to listen to and we just relaxed for several minutes. I felt very calm and energized after all that deep slow breathing. This is going to be part of my routine after a hard workout.

Thanks for reading and commenting! I'm staying on track so far. Learning something new is always fun and help keep the motivation going.

That’s one of my favourite stretches as well Tammy! Thanks for this post. It reminds me to take time to stretch!

Hope that you and @crypt-skip are doing well! 😁

I'm bad about not warming up sometimes too. I just want to get going! We're doing fine. Hope you're doing well too. You don't see us in #automaticwin anymore, we gave up the early morning stuff, lol. We're retired, we (well mainly ME) hate getting up early and going out into these subfreezing temps. 10K is a nice goal, and maintainable for us.

Still getting over you're 10k :-)

·

So far so good, I've got quite a string going of consecutive days.

·
·

How many can you do consecutively we will find out.

Way to kick butt and I want that red and green balls on the rack

You mean the ones I try to do crunches on, and just end up rolling off! I think you need the kettle balls on the other rack. :)

@blueeyes8960, this is really a very good and relaxing posture. Good count!

Yes it really is a great stretch. I have to do it at the Y though because I just don't have any blank wall space/floor space combination to do it at home. But if we do it after the long treadmill, it gives time for the cool down and the sweat to dry before we have to go out in the cold!

Great job on your workout blueeyes. Yes, that stretch really gives you a good feeling. Glad you had a great time with actifitting. Enjoy your day.

Thanks, Rogerine! Not as active as you nowadays but I think I've found a good balance that works for me. Appreciate your stopping by and commenting @roger5120!

Good step count, I think I'll try this posture some day

I have to do it at the Y because I can't see to find enough blank wall space in my house! But it is so worth it, the yoga instructor showed it to us.

Thx for showing me that stretch, it really makes a difference

It was against your better judgement at first, lol.

Sometimes I do a bit of yoga to stretch, it help me a lot :D

·

Yes, it was the Yoga instructor who showed me that stretch. She teaches a stretch class, not necessarily yoga, but has a lot of yoga poses included. I'm getting more limber every day, lol.

12k dear like WoW

That's pretty much every day (smiling and sweating). My goal is 10K but I like it much better when it's warm enough to get outside. Although the Y does have a nice variety of classes so I can kind of mix it up.

·
·

Its -4 here so i set the 5 k goal and try to reach that when i have my phone on me that is

·
·
·

We just had a few days of the -5 degrees here - record breaking lows. Hate to even get out to go to the Y. It's supposed to be in the 50s by tomorrow though - what a huge temperature swing. I'm so ready to get OUTSIDE and walk again.

The weather is so muchchanging all through global warming

Nice job. If only I could actually see what the images, that way I could try the stretch myself? Think you could describe it?

You can't see the picture? You lie on your back with your butt flush against a wall, then put both legs up flat against the wall. The more you push against the wall, the more stretch in the quads. Then you can walk your feet apart so that your legs are forming a V, still flat against the wall. The wider you make the V, the more stretch on the inner thighs.

At first I got scared that you stayed 90 minutes like that.

If you decide to do that, though, you still have our support ;)

Yours,

Manol

·

Lol @manoldonchev! If I stayed like that for 90 minutes I probably wouldn't be able to get up! But nice to know someone has my back. :)

·
·

Lol, indeed. Sometimes my legs won't cooperate after a 30 second squatting over the camera or something. And I am considered to be relatively young ;)

·
·
·

Yes it doesn't take long to lose flexibility in muscles we don't use often. And you both young and in great shape!

·

·

There's something about me folding my legs at the knees. Like the eastern style of sitting or even cross-legged. When I unfold, eventually, after being in such a pose, some blood pressure things occur. Happened when I was 18, even. I guess squatting just ain't my thing. But taking pictures without squatting would be difficult so now I learn to not care about getting one knee dirty and touch the ground, instead. But in that wet snow a few days ago I again tried avoiding that. And I saw black for a few moments every time I stood up too fast.
