Donating for Personal Protective Equipment

As my story yesterday in a previous post, that currently a number of health care facilities, especially hospitals experience a lack of personal protective equipment when serving patients suspected of being infected with a coronavirus. A number of hospitals have also made public announcements on online media and social media that they are very lacking in personal protective equipment and are currently receiving any donations from the public, either personal protective equipment or multivitamins or food and drinks for health workers who serve patients who are indicated to be infected coronavirus or already infected with coronavirus.

We from profession organizations also raise funds from all members. As our profession organization, the Indonesian Society of Radiographers or Perhimpunan Radiografer Indonesia (PARI). Fundraising for members is open within the next two months and from the funds collected, we buy personal protective equipment in the form of hazmat clothing to be donated to radiographers throughout Indonesia.

For members who participated in raising this donation, the parent organization will be give away number of awards and certificates of appreciation. I myself, who is currently also included in the central PARI management as well as the chairman of the Aceh regional PARI, also participated in fundraising. Yesterday, from the fundraising results, we bought Hazmat clothes to be donated to radiographers working in Hospital Teungku Chik Ditiro Sigli.
