Introduction

Luigi Calagna and Sofia Scalia, aka Luì and Sofì, are two very famous youtubers in Italy.
Their Youtube channel has over 4.6 million subscribers.
Their fan base is mainly made up of children aged between 3 and 10 years.
My six year old daughter Chiara is a huge fan of theirs.
Luì and Sofì are the main actors and also the screenwriters while Gianluca Leuzzi is the director.

Plot

---

Luì and Sofì are two youtubers who hope to win the "Like Award" competition which rewards the best video creators.
In order to win the prize they will have to defeat their most bitter enemy: Mr. S.
Mr. S. devised a plan as brilliant as it is evil.
He kidnaps Sofì and then Luì and replaces them with two robots identical to them.
The two robots publish videos in which they advertise a creation of Mr. S.: the "Spectrum" slime.
The "Spectrum" is not a simple slime. Anyone who comes into contact with the "Spectrum" becomes sad.
Here is Mr. S.'s goal: to win the "Like Award" and make all the children of the world sad.

Will Luì and Sofì manage to escape from the cell where Mr. S. has imprisoned them and will they be able to save the world?
To find out you have to go to the cinema to see the movie "Me against you: The movie - Mr. S's revenge" but ...

My opinion:

The plot, considering that we are talking about a children's film, is beautiful and compelling but the film is really badly done.
The acting of the two main actors is poor and at times embarrassing.
The set design and the whole film is low cost: the total budget was $ 75,000 (source: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/640344-me-contro-te-il-film-la-vendetta- of-Mr.-s? language = en-US).
The whole film takes place in four places: an apartment, a secret hiding place, Mister S's control room and a stage in an amusement park.

It is absolutely not a cinema film but it is only a Youtube video projected on the big screen.

The only value of this film?

There is no dirty word in the film and there are no scenes of violence.
The film as well as all the videos of Luì and Sofì are really suitable for an audience of children.

My daughter was happy to see her darlings on the big screen but if you don't have a "Me against You" fan at home, don't go to see this movie at the cinema. It is not a cinema film.

From 17 January to 28 January, the film collected more than 8 million receipts and it is clear that the purpose of this film is only one: to earn as much as possible.

Too bad Luì and Sofì, having so much audience and not showing anything valid from the cinematographic point of view is truly a wasted opportunity ...

Il loro canale Youtube ha più di 4,6 milioni di iscritti.
La loro fanbase è costituita principalmente dai bambini di età compresa tra i 3 e i 6 anni.
Mia figlia Chiara che ha sei anni è una loro grande fan.
Luì e Sofì sono gli attori principali e anche gli sceneggiatori mentre Gianluca Leuzzi è il regista.

Trama

Luì e Sofì sono due youtuber che sperano di vincere il concorso "Like Award" che premia i migliori creatori di video.
Per riuscire a vincere il premio dovranno sconfiggere il loro più acerrimo nemico: il Signor S.
Il Signor S. ha ideato un piano geniale quanto malvagio.
Rapisce prima Sofì e poi Luì e li rimpiazza con due robot identici a loro.
I due robot creano video in cui pubblicizzano una creazione del Signor S. : lo slime "Spectrum".
Lo "Spectrum" non è un semplice slime. Chiunmque entra in contatto con lo "Spectrum" diventa triste.
Ecco l'obiettivo del Signor S. : vincere il "Like Award", rendere tutti i bambini del mondo tristi.

Riusciranno Luì e Sofì a scappare dalla cella in cui il Signor S. li ha imprigionati e a salvare il mondo?
Per scoprirlo dovete andare a vedere il film "Me contro Te: Il film - La vendetta del Signor S" al cinema ma...

La mia opinione:

La trama, considerato che stiamo parlando di un film per bambini, è bella e avvincente ma il film è fatto davvero male.
La recitazione dei due attori principali è scadente e a tratti imbarazzante.
La scenografia e tutto il film è a basso costo: il budget totale è stato di 75,000 dollari (fonte: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/640344-me-contro-te-il-film-la-vendetta-del-signor-s?language=en-US).
Tutto il film si svolge in quattro luoghi: un appartamento, un nascondiglio segreto, la sala comandi del Signor S e un palco in un luna park.
Non è assolutamente un film da cinema ma è solo un video di Youtube proiettato sul grande schermo.

Il grande e unico pregio di questo film?

Non c'è una parolaccia nel film e non ci sono scene di violenza.
Il film come anche tutti i video di Luì e Sofì sono davvero adatti ad un pubblico di bambini.

Mia figlia è stata felice di vedere i suoi beniamini sul grande schermo ma se voi non avete in casa una fan dei "Me contro Te" non andate a vedere questo film al Cinema. Non è un film da cinema.

Il film ha raccolto dal 17 gennaio al 28 gennaio più di 8 milioni di incassi ed è evidente che lo scopo di questo film è solo uno: guadagnare il più possibile.

Peccato Luì e Sofì, avere tanto pubblico e non mostrare niente di valido dal punto di vista cinematografico è davvero un'occasione sprecata...
