Moon rides to warn her friend of the danger he is walking into.

Moon continued to ride avoiding the slayers using rarely used trails. she knew she had to reach the border before Bain reached Letalis lands. If anyone could turn him back she thought it might be her given their past.

"Come on Lady bird please just a bit faster lives depend on us"

Patting the horse on the neck she smiles as she feels the horse shift its stride.

"Thank you, my friend you will be rewarded when we return"

Tightening her grip on the reins she kicks the horse jumping a fallen tree on the trail. Moon is jarred in the saddle when the beast hits ground barely keeping herself in the saddle. Spurring the horse on hooves pounding the trail as she rides. Startled by a slayer on the trail barring her way Moon grins and kicks the horse bracing herself. With a deadening thud, her horse power drives the Slayer sending him off into the thick brush. Patting the horse in praise she glances down seeing blood running down the horse's leg to its pounding hooves. Startled she pulls back on the reins the horse rears twisting in mid air and landing on its side sliding in the loose leaves of the forest floor. Moon opens her eyes and reaches for her head which is wet with blood. Frantically looking for her mount she see's her limping and grazing nearby.

"How long was I out? Damn, I need to keep moving".

Getting to her feet she checks Lady birds leg. She pats her old friend and sends her off the leg is too injured to continue she will have to go on foot from here.
