NaNoWriMo 23 - Losing it.

in #nanowrimo5 years ago

You can read everywhere and with a mobile phone write everywhere.
I am back at the hospital. How easily you forget once out and all memories come back once in. The wifi here is way better than at home.
Before I left I fed the wolves, did the dishes, swept floors. The dry laundry is in the "closets" and I answered comments for @commentcoin and most of mine.

Is everyone ill?

What happened so far?
The ghost searches for the inventor who disappeared in a tunnel and the inventor? He is lost or losing his mind.

Getting rid of the suit was done within a few twinklings.

The ghost used a strong blew.

"The further away the better", he thought. Better safe as sorry."

The body was his and no other corpse should be at hand to provide in the needs of the lunatic. The voice he heard did not speak again.

"It really gets a mess if you all come over here", it murmured. "I inspect that tunnel again. He cannot be disappeared. If the road is free I dump the corpse suit in WE. Plenty of space and places to hide."

Back into the hole he dived searching for the lost one.

"How about that corpse? You can use it. It fits you."

Nerved by the words it floated up and down. True it was futility which body as long as he had one and could use it. Thinking it over twice... the piece of old cloth with the moaning human not sounded attractive to him.

"It is occupied."

"That did not stop you before. You used the first living..."

"That was different. A place is a place a stone doesn't move, doesn't rock. If you excuse me."

Did the voice excuse him? We don't know. It left in the same way it appeared, unexpected. The ghost didn't care. It's only concern was to find the creator. His duty wasn't finished yet. The newborns needed him. Did they? Who said he could not take it over from here? His little test monster responded well, grew as fast as the rest. No one of them noticed the difference. And the guards? They kept their mouths shut.

Once again he floated to the end of the tunnel and ended in WE. It was a ghost town and a safe place to move that filthy thing to. Preferably after he found the creator.

"Stupid father, I warned you to take care!"

The next part is my entry to the daily 5-minute freewrite. I used the three prompts of the past three days. See @mariannewest if you like to give it a try.

He was not able to "take care".
He felt dizzy, his head banged and his vision became worse. A headache, when was the last time he had one? He couldn't remember.
It had to be the tunnel, the strange illusions about civilizations and entities he had never seen in his life. Were they from the past or did his mind made them up?
Giants, they sounded violent and the last thing his giants were was violent.

"They are all good boys and will not harm anyone."
He wanted to shout at them, to all who hurried and ran through the tunnels passed by without noticing him. "Where are you going!" It was like talking to deaf ears. Underground not even the walls responded. He missed his companion, the silver stone.

Where was Alain? He tried to find him back, stumbled on but there was no sight of a boy with a little creature and wolf as a companion.
He sank down on his feet and had a hard time breathing.

"Air, I need air, what is it here that takes my breath away?"

He fell down. As he managed to get back on his feet he was completely disoriented. Which way to go? He turned in circles. There was no way forward or backward. The tunnel, the road was gone.

The sound of a stuck drawer woke him up.
"How are you?", a friendly voice behind him asked.
He needed to think about it. It was hard to tell.

"To be honest I don't know."

He struggled, tried to sit up straight, the smell of an open fire tickled his nostrils.

Does nothing stop you Kittywu? Sorry to hear you’re back in hospital.

@deirdyweirdy Oh yes, but people seldom notice it. Once back I do more to catch up and being single means more time to do what I need (sleeping) or like. Writing is good for my soul and distracts at times. At those other times I let it be.
Thank you for your respond. I wish you a happy day. ❤️
