My Entry to Contest - "What does TODAY (Feb 20, 2020) Mean to ME?

A cold strong wind blew outside.

I drove the bus-kid to school and after being at home for about one hour I could drive the youngest to school. I wish I could take a bike with me and drop the kid + bike at school so it can bicycle back home.
The extra petrol needed is a burden and I do not know how to solve that yet. There's not much more I can save on.
I intend to drive to the other village tomortow. The petrol is cheaper there. I intend to fill the car + two jerry cans (20 liter extra) but I am afraid I can not drive that far.

"The waterpump is broke again.*
This one was already repaired although I have strong doubts about it. It keeps running just like the other one did.
There's no money for a new one. I hope it will at least keep running. I switch off the power but once switched on the children easily forget to switch it off again. It is as if I hear the noise of the waterpumo 24/24.

I had a look at the jars of food I made in the past years.
I found two more small jars with cherry jam, one bigger with mulberries.
Out of the left tomatoes I will make curry sauce. I do not know when yet.
There are still many jars and bottles with syrup.

I read a bit about the EU.

It's always good for a bad mood. To be honest I hope we get out of it.
Only a few countries pay the biggest part of the bill while most of the money goes to countries who hardly pay and earn 10-20 times more.
If I read those articles I can only say one thing: The more I know people the more I love my wolf.
Having all the profits and dare calling those who can not afford to pay 2-3 miljard euro more a scrooge instead of building your own life, work for it is something I do not understand. I see many people of these "poor countries" driving big cars, eating 10 times more as I do. Is this the "one great Europe" we all hope for?
Abusive countries, people scolding at the hard workers, saying it is their right to live in luxury without working for it?
You can not blame others for the mess in your country, the fact you were too lazy to learn and work, you never saved for "the cases in need" and spent everything as soon as you earned some money.
People spend less, have to spend less because they are out of money so that is what the EU should do too.
Less income is spending less. Those ministers can give a good example by paying for their own lunches, travels and hotels.
The sky-high ridiculous budget of the EU will not unite people but only make them hate each other more.

My weight:
61.2 kilograms.
Not really a surprise with what I ate yesterday (soup and a filled pancake) but it tasted good. Not to forget to mention the chocolate that melted in my mouth. 😍

What I ate today.
1 slice sausage, drop, rice + beans, 3 teaspoons "dr. Oetker" chemicals, some poppy syrup (home made, helps against a soar throat and they say it works against insomnia).

No sit-ups, bending, no jumping jacks.

No Prednisone. 🙂
I use cream three times a day, so far so good.
The infections are not over but... no pain.

• Straight My freewrite was published way later as expected but I needed to do some research on the prompt first.
• Dpoll 63: How come you get fat if you eat chips. If it comes to food I always hear that phrase "you are what you eat" and Archie Bunker pops up in my mind.

• Dr. Oetker day - food made out of powder This is really one of the most disgusting and tasteless things I ever ate! We had these bags before but without the chocolate taste and they tasted exactly the same.

• A day full surprises We had a good day on February 18, 2020, even burned baked beans and the cold couldn't spoil it.
• Tech.... My entry to @qurator's Monday Mission. It took me hours. I lost the biggest part of what I wrote and had to start all over again. No fun if you are a mobile user only. It took me 2.5 hours more.
• Dpoll 61: Do you know what this opening is meant for? In a very short time @jacobpeacock answered the question. How great dpoll is.
• For the lazy cook. Soup made out of powder plus some extras to make a more decent meal out of it.
• I did it.
