PROMOTING STEEMIT - PROMO-STEEM -UPDATE 1

Hello guys and good day. I will be dropping a series of updates on how I have been promoting steemit and creating awareness about the platform to students in my school and places I can meet people.

Telling my friends about steemit

I have been on steemit for about two months and I have come to appreciate the platform tremendously. It is a rewarding platform where you are being rewarded for your quality content.
Immediately I started on steemit and saw its potential , I begun telling my friends about it especially those residing with me in my school hostel. Those initial reachouts yielded zilch results because these guys were skeptical about it. Some of them felt or believed it was another Ponzi scheme (They had had really bad experiences with those).My closest pal @delaw told me it was a waste of time and even laughed at me. I did not give up. I knew what they needed : CONVICTION
Just as they say

SEEING IS BELIEVING

They needed evidence that this was real. I knew I had to convince them. And convince them I did. I decided to do a cashout. I sold a little amount of my Steem dollars for 11,000 Naira(About 4 SBD)

And I showed them evidence of my cashout. It was so surreal to them. At that instant they believed me and started pestering me to register them on Steemit. They picked up interest ; I had finally convinced them. I created the accounts for them and they were approved.
Some of them have made their introductory posts , while others have not .
I have been doing a lot of mentoring sessions , where I tell these ones about steemit , its knowhows and how to earn on it. I talk about Steemit every single day. It is a really interesting thing promoting Steemit , because more and more become aware about it and pick up interest to join . I have been able to bring more than 20 people into the steemit fold and it’s still counting.
Some of them have made their introductory posts while others have not because I encouraged them to get a number of followers to increase their audience first.
I would highlight those that have made their introductory posts below and their introductory posts links below and subsequently in other “PROMOTING STEEMIT” I would mention those that have made theirs.

I will give a special shout out to the Steeemit-Uyo community which has been industrious with regards to Steemit. They have not backed down as they continue to steem on; growing the community into one of the largest in Nigeria.
@Samstickkz is doing a great job coordinating this movement, a special shoutout to him for his selflessness.
Also @stach headed by @ejemai has been phenomenal too. He recently set up a steem accelerator hub in the city of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom . This is a place where steemians can come and steem without the barriers of lack of power and internet .

As I continue to tell more people about steemit, I hope that it contributes to the growth of the platform and benefits those joining too.
