Three amazing photo spots in SAIGON [EN/DE]

Hey guys! Today I would like to tell you about the last stop of my journey through Vietnam. Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City (which is its new name) really surprised me very positively. I imagined the city to be as hectic and crowded as Bangkok, but far filthier, more boring and architecturally rather uninteresting. But Saigon really has something to offer for every taste, whether you're interested in sightseeing, shopping, peaceful parks or a cool nightlife. However, in this article I would like to show you my three absolute favourite photo spots in Ho Chi Minh City!

Hallo Leute!

1.) "Thu Thiem Bridge"

The bridge itself is absolutely uninteresting, but offers you probably the best view of the city center of Saigon with the Saigon River in the foreground. Here you can also admire beautiful sunsets as the sun disappears just behind the skyline. After dark the skyscrapers are reflected in the water, which can be used for impressive long exposures.

2.) "Starlight Bridge"

Another bridge, but here it is not about the view, this time the bridge itself is the center of attention. It is located at the outskirts of Saigon, in a very quiet, modern quarter that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Once the sun has set, the bridge transforms into an artificial waterfall illuminated in bright colours - simply adorable!

3.) "Chill Skybar"

I did a lot of research to find the rooftop bar with the best view. Here you can capture the second highest building of Vietnam, the "Bitexco Tower" and the brand new landmark of the city and highest building of the country, "Landmark 81" wonderfully within just one photo. This view is by far better than that of the Bitexco Tower by the way. The bar also offers a happy hour at sunset with real bargain prices for great cocktails!

I hope you will have the chance to explore this great city yourselves. In the meantime I have travelled to Taiwan, from where I will of course report to you soon!

See you soon/Bis bald!
Stefan

I love the photos made with the crystal ball! They are so unique. And I love their sharpness. My favorite photo would be the first one. What I like about the crystal ball photos is that it turns around the subject which makes it even more interesting.

That bridge with the waterfall is a little exaggerated in my opinion but it is so Asian :) As you said, it is simply adorable!

Thank you for giving us some tips for the best views. If I would ever go to Vietnam I would definitely follow your 'guide' :)

Have a good start of the week!

Thank you so much! Yes, Crystal Ball Photography is my big love ;-) There are so many creative possibilities with it.

Haha, you're right, that's just typical Asian and I really like it! :-)

Thanks, I also wish you a good start of the week!

Thank you so much for your nice words about my post and resteeming it! :-) Of course I did my best to capture these places in the most impressive way that it was possible, but the shots are not photoshopped, I only used Lightroom for post processing to optimize contrast, saturation, clarity, etc.

If it's boring...where's the best place to stay in Saigon? Awesome shots dude!

Thanks a lot! District 1 - it's the city centre and you can still find an unexpensive airbnb there - a perfect place to stay! :-)

Will keep that in mind thanks!

Hey Alexa, danke dir!

Very interesting and beautiful photographs. The colors of the city centre draw me to that one, but I like all of them. This is one city I do want to visit in the future and these images just add to the desire.

Thanks a lot, I'm happy that you like my photos! :-) I really recommend you to visit Saigon, it's truly amazing and the city is developing so fast, it will be even much more worth visiting in the future!
